Susan Dancewicz has over 30 years of experience working in the field of speech/language pathology. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University, a Master of Science degree in Speech/Language Pathology from Columbia University and is a certified member of the American Speech- Language-Hearing Association. Susan’s extensive background includes work in private practice, early intervention, community-based settings, and acute care and rehabilitation hospital environments. She has expertise working with both adults and children with communication and feeding challenges. Her clinical experience includes training in a variety of therapeutic interventions and techniques. She has completed advanced training in PROMPT, an approach to develop motor control for speech, use of the DIR/Floortime model approach to understanding and improving a child’s development, and development and use of augmentative systems of communication. Susan also has comprehensive training in assessment and treatment of feeding/swallowing disorders and has been instrumental in the development and implementation of swallowing assessment and feeding programs in hospital, home care, and early intervention settings.
