motor skills – through yoga asana (poses), children practice balance, build strength, increase flexibility, and learn spatial awareness through body movement.

social skills – in the group setting, children often partner up for poses, play games involving interacting with peers, and learn about teamwork.

breathing – each week the children learn about breath and how different breathing can either energize or relax the body.

creativity – some weeks the children have an opportunity to express themselves through an art activity that ties into the week’s lesson.

 

YOGA SCHEDULE

SPRING II SESSION theme: mandalas

Mondays 6:00-7:00pm April 31st through June 11th, ages 10+

Wednesdays 5:00-6:00pm May 2nd through June 13th, ages 5-9

Saturdays 11:00am-12:00pm May 5th through June 2nd, ages 5-9

SUMMER SESSION: 7-weeks of yoga, with a minimum 5-week commitment. Summer classes for the older kiddos are extended 30 minutes in order to incorporate indoor/outdoor fun and snack/nutrition time. Theme will be the ABCs of yoga sprinkled with beachy, summery activities.

Tuesdays 11:30am-1:00pm, July 10th through August 21st, ages 5-9  $20/class

Thursdays 11:00-11:45am, July 12th through August 23rd, ages 3-5   $15/class

Thursdays 12:00-1:30pm, July 12th through August 23rd, ages 10+   $20/class
