Tara Savoie, MS OTR/L, received a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Boston College in 1993. After working for 3 years in a private school for children with multiple disabilities she continued her education and received a Masters of Science degree in Occupational therapy from Tufts University. She has been working in both the clinic setting and the public schools for the past 12 years. Her experience includes working with children 3-22 with a variety of disabilities including neurological disorders, learning disabilities, Autism spectrum disorders and sensory integration deficits. She is the creator of Project Cruise Control, an intensive group program based on “The Alert Program: How Does Your Engine Run?” Tara also has experience communicating with sign language and has recently focused her training on the use of Assistive Technology within the Public School environment. Tara is Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT) certified. She has also completed TLP training.
